This text refers to the Passage in the Senate.
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes minors 12 years of age or older to consent to medical care related to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.
-Authorizes a minor who is 12 years of age or older to consent to medical care related to the diagnosis or treatment of an infectious, contagious, or communicable disease, if the disease or condition is a sexually transmitted disease or a disease required by law to be reported to a State Public Health Officer (Sec. 1). -Authorizes a minor who is 12 years of age or older to consent to medical care related to the prevention of a sexually transmitted disease (Sec. 1). -Specifies that the minor's parents or guardian do not have to pay for medical care authorized by this act (Sec. 1).
